Abu Dhabi has established TAMM Global, a company intended to expand the emirate’s digital government platform beyond the United Arab Emirates. The announcement was made by the Department of Government Enablement under the directives of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed. TAMM Global will focus on owning, operating and licensing the TAMM platform, its intellectual property and the implementation expertise developed around it.
TAMM brings more than 1,200 public and private services together through a single digital-government experience. The Abu Dhabi Media Office says the platform has recorded customer satisfaction of 94.5 percent, reduced costs by 30 percent and saves users approximately nine visits and 12 hours each year. Those figures describe the platform’s reported performance in Abu Dhabi; they should not be read as a guarantee of the same results in every new market.
The international opportunity is not simply a software export. Digital government platforms operate inside legal, administrative and cultural systems that vary from country to country. Identity, payments, data exchange, service ownership, cybersecurity and accessibility all need to be adapted while maintaining a coherent user experience. A platform that works well domestically must also demonstrate how it can integrate with existing government systems and meet local requirements.
The move gives Abu Dhabi a way to commercialise public-sector technology and operating knowledge as a distinct capability. It also creates a reference point for Gulf governments seeking to move from separate departmental portals toward joined-up digital services. Artificial intelligence may support future service personalisation and automation, but the announcement concerns the establishment and international expansion of TAMM Global rather than a claim that every service is autonomous or AI-operated.
The next indicators will be the company’s first markets, licensing arrangements, implementation partners and measurable outcomes for residents and governments outside Abu Dhabi. For the UAE technology ecosystem, TAMM Global represents an effort to turn a local government transformation programme into an internationally deployable platform while keeping the operational lessons and intellectual property at the centre of the proposition.
